Dust off those ball gowns – it’s time to hit the red carpet. Spring time in New York City brings for the PR community a season bursting with award ceremonies and receptions. This year, Affect is honored to be finalists for several prestigious industry awards that honor our achievements from 2010. This includes:
- BtoB Online Social Media Marketing Awards – We have already won the magazine’s award for the B2B social media campaign “Omni Understands Meetings and Events” that we devised and executed for our client Omni Hotels & Resorts. We’re also a finalist for the magazine’s People’s Choice award for the same campaign. Voting is open to the public here until April 22 if you’d like to cast yours.
- PRSA NY’s Big Apple Awards – Each year, PRSA NY honors the winning campaigns in the local New York market. This year, we are finalists for two campaigns – the “Omni Understands Meetings and Events” campaign, and “dealnews Steals the Holiday Shopping Media and Consumers Buy It,” a media relations focused campaign for the holiday shopping season we executed on behalf of dealnews, the Web’s leading guide to the best deals on consumer electronics and more. We’re excited to learn whether one of these entries will win this coveted award at the reception in New York on May 26.
- SABRE Awards – The Holmes Report’s prestigious “Oscars of PR” this year selected our campaign “dealnews Steals the Holiday Shopping Media and Consumers Buy It” as a finalist in the Web-based business category. We’re honored to be among such esteemed finalists in this category such as eBay, Mapquest and Groupon.
We’re thrilled that our industry has honored Affect with these nominations and are proud of the work we did in 2010 on behalf of our clients, whether we end up winning or losing. As they say in Hollywood – it’s an honor just to be nominated.
